Well-City Salisbury course : Sketching in the landscape
This is a Well-City Salisbury creative course for wellbeing from ArtCare and artist Nick Andrew, supporting people with low to medium mental health needs in the Salisbury area through free, 10-week long creative course.
Each week we will be taking a gentle stroll in the local landscape and with the guidance of artist Nick Andrew we will try out different sketching techniques and materials as well as writing in our sketch books things experienced, such as wildlife, sounds, the weather and more.
Location: ArtCare Culture Club at Salisbury District Hospital, the hospital gardens and grounds and nearby Lime Kiln nature reserve; also outdoor locations around Salisbury City Centre (eg. Elizabeth Gardens, Town Path, Cathedral Close)
Course Access Information: We will be working outdoors in all weathers! There will be some walking but we will be based in areas accessible with wheelchair or mobility scooter. One of our workshop spaces has a ramp across a stepped access and narrow door, so please do get in touch to discuss with us if you want to know more.

There are 2 routes to taking part in a Well-City Salisbury course: referral and self-referral. The project primarily uses a model where participants are referred onto a course by their GP practice, support organisation, community group or school wellbeing team. However, we also welcome self-referrals.
